“Anthem” Process

I’m working on a new painting that I’m calling “Anthem.”  The piece takes place during the national athem at a baseball game. I filled a page in my sketchbook of various ideas that I want to paint at some point, and this one stuck out enough to tackle first. I had a different version of this drawn up until the final sketch, but decided that the characters’ stature needed some tweaking.
I’ll do the color study this weekend.

Quick Storyboards

On my way out the door of PC, I was asked if I could draw up some quick storyboard sketches before the end of the night for a group who was taking part in a competition.  The group was working on a number of things for Church’s Chicken. They took first place. Congratulations!

Here are some snapshots of the storyboards.
